Even the locals I’ve asked directions didn’t know about this piece of motorsport history. Just down the C-246a in the direction of Sitges, Spain, you can turn into a gravel path. At the end of this gravel path a wall arises, which is the backside of the formal grandstand. A grandstand along one of the two straight lines of two km long motorsport circuit, the abandoned Autódromo de Sitges-Terramar.

In 1922 building activities started of the Autódromo with two 60 degrees banked corners. Just a year later in 1923 Albert Divo won the race in his Sunbeam with a average speed of 154,5 km/h (in 1923!).

Unfortunately the price money was confiscated by the building companies who had an outstanding balance with the circuit owners. El Autódromo was suspended for any international races and became the abandoned Autódromo de Sitges-Terramar.
